Dr. Brenda Lovik is a native of Lake Mills, Iowa. She received her Associates of Arts degree from Waldorf College and her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Grand View University. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago in 1996.
Her practice speciality is with contact lenses and she promotes quality eye care for the entire family. Preventative eye care begins with annual eye exams. Early detection of cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic and hypertensive retinopathies enable us to consider treatment to stabilize and/or preserve a comfortable level of vision.
Dr, Lovik is a member of the American Optometric Association, Iowa Optometric Association, Mason City YMCA Board and Trinity Lutheran Church.
Dr. Lovik returned to North Iowa after working as an associate doctor for LensCrafters in West Des Moines. She and her husband Richard McCardle have owned Lovik Family Eyecare since 2002. They have one son, Merritt and one daughter, Claire. Her hobbies are golf, Iowa Hawkeyes, Green Bay Packers and camping.
